Softball Lesson Instructor
Harmony Schwethelm has worked at the facility for over 2-years training softball players on both the offensive (Hitting, Slapping & Bunting) and defensive (Infield & Outfield) sides of the game. She believes in an individual, holistic approach to training and puts a lot of emphasis on the mental and emotional aspects of sports as well as the brain-body connection.
Coach Harmony is also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and works with athletes in speed, agility & quickness, Strength & Conditioning and Power/Explosion Training.
She is an experienced and energetic coach that is passionate about the development of her clients as both athletes and people.
Harmony went to Smithson Valley High School where she ran track and played Basketball & Softball. She led the Rangers to their first softball State Championship in 2001 while receiving All-district and All-State accolades along with setting UIL State records in Base Hits per game, stolen bases per game and stolen bases in the tournament.
She earned a scholarship to play at Baylor University where she set multiple school records and was an NFCA All-American and a National Strength & Conditioning Association Athlete of the Year. She finished Baylor with 2 degrees:
- BS in Education - Health Science Studies: Pre-PT & a Minor in Corporate Communication
- MS in Education - Sports Management
In 2006, Schwethelm was drafted to the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Philadelphia Force as well as the Pro Fastpitch Extreme (PFX) Tour. She played with the PFX Tour for 4yrs before starting a career in Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships with Spurs Sports & Entertainment. In 2017 she signed an NPF contract with the Texas Charge but officially retired before the season began.
