His ability and drive have taken him to some opportunities that few young players get to experience. District championships in high school at MacArthur in San Antonio with All-City honors, Conference and National Championships at Louisiana State University as a starting pitcher, and Conference Championships as a coach at South East Missouri State University make up a resume in the baseball world that few can match. As fate would have it, a shoulder injury in college led to two surgeries that ended what would have most certainly been a budding pro career.
With the bad luck, however, comes the good luck. After spending 6 years as pitching coach and recruiter at 3 universities, UTSA, SE Missouri, and Stetson, Jeremy decided to head back to San Antonio and start his own baseball academy. Hardball U was born in 2006, and through our player’s hard work and Jeremy’s college contacts, 115 of our players in the past 9 years have moved on to play college baseball. Few organizations in South Texas can match that success.
As Jeremy will tell you, “There are a lot of players of equal ability wanting the same opportunity to play baseball in college. The difference many times is playing well in front of a next level evaluator and having the coaching connections to help make the difference.”
